MSI PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12 27-inch 4K monitor featuring inkjet-printed OLED technology


Taiwanese company MSI has announced the PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12, a 27-inch 4K 120Hz monitor featuring what they claim is the world’s first inkjet-printed organic light-emitting diode (IJP OLED) display capable of 120Hz.

The monitor has a printed OLED panel as well as an RGB-striped subpixel structure, which is claimed to effectively eliminate color bleeding and has been optimized for the clarity of text and images. It has a 164 PPI density and an optimized RGB Stripe sub-pixel layout that closely resembles the uniform RGB structure of traditional LCDs.

The inkjet method does away with the vacuum and uses a super-precise printer to print the RGB (red, green, and blue) light-emitting materials. Industrial inkjet technology is cost-effective and more energy-efficient.

The colour gamut of the monitor is said to cover 99% of DCI-P3. The monitor has also obtained VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification and features a claimed maximum brightness of 1,000 nits.

The panel surface features a 3H-hardness anti-glare coating, with blue light reduction and flicker-free technology. It also supports KVM and PIP/PBP functions, and is equipped with a USB-C port compatible with 15W Power Delivery.
