Hailey Bieber’s Gap Jean Collection Is Already 40% Off Now

When Team StyleCaster saw the teaser for the Hailey Bieber x Gap collaboration, we audibly gasped. “Press play like it’s 1996,” the Instagram caption read, showing what’s clearly Bieber’s hand place a “1996 Hailey” mix CD into a millennial baby blue boom box and hit play (the song? “Linger” by The Cranberries, because OBVIOUSLY). A day later, we learned Bieber was indeed releasing a limited-edition jeans capsule: The Hailey Jean.
The Hailey Jean x Gap: Everything You Need to Know
The Hailey Jean is a limited-editing denim capsule that’s launching July 16, 9am EST. Bieber has been a long-time fan of Gap jeans, so it only makes sense that she’s officially collaborating with the brand. The style she wears the most is a baggy, ’90s-inspired silhouette, so that’s precisely what the collection will include: two relaxed jean styles, the Extra Baggy and Low Rise Loose, which are both “rooted in Hailey’s laid-back approach,” according to Gap’s press release.
Extra Baggy and Low Rise Loose are existing designs that are getting the Hailey treatment: A new “1996” design detail (this is in reference to her birth year), as well as her signature inside the pocket lining. The drop will feature six total washes, and you’ll only be able to find them online (and I predict they will sell out almost immediately).
“This project came together very organically because Gap has always been a part of my wardrobe. 1996 has always felt iconic to me because there was something so effortless about that era and the way people wore denim. We wanted the campaign and the product to capture that same feeling in a way that felt modern, understated and personal,” Bieber says.

Will this ultimately lead to a larger collaboration between the Rhode founder and Gap? I hope so. Fans of both Bieber and Zac Posen’s Gap are metaphorically lining up at the door to get their paws on a pair of vintage-inspired and Hailey-approved denim, and the appetite is definitely there.
