Bernards Acquires Small-Scale Occasional Furniture Producer Null Furniture

Bernards and Null Furniture reported that they have reached an agreement that allows Null Furniture’s designs to remain in the marketplace. While terms of the agreement were not disclosed, company officials have confirmed that Bernards has assumed ownership of the inventory and intellectual property of Null Furniture.

We’ve had a good working relationship with the people at Bernards, even before Null Furniture opened its showroom at the Atrium in High Point over ten years ago. In many ways, our lives have come full circle as we pass the baton to a new, experienced team.”
Null Furniture, a North Carolina family-owned business dating back to the 1970s, announced early this fall they would be closing and selling off remaining inventory. Co-owners, Aaron Williams and Nina Sadowski had grown up in the business.
Null Furniture’s showroom was in the Atrium on Main, same as Bernards, so company leaders had become acquainted over the years, said Bernards president, Micah Swick. “I knew Aaron and Nina to be good people with a good reputation. I also knew they have a strong occasional line. When I heard they were closing, we made an immediate decision to reach out” said Swick. “The timing is tight, but we will have most, if not all, of Null’s product line on display in the Bernards showroom next week.”
Bernards High Point showroom is located on the 2nd floor of the Atrium on Main, 430 S Main Street. Null will continue to receive and process orders through the end of the month. Beginning November 1st, orders should be sent to Bernards at [email protected].
