An Insider’s Tour of FineWoodworking.com

In this video, I give you a quick, practical tour of FineWoodworking.com and show you how the site is laid out. With thousands of articles, videos, plans, and tips available, my goal is to help you understand where everything lives so you can find what you need without digging around.

I start on the homepage, where you can always see the newest projects, videos, and articles as soon as they’re published. From there, I show how the main navigation is organized and where to go depending on what you’re working on—whether that’s project plans, technique articles, shop tips, tool coverage, or video instruction.

I also point out member tools like the Account area, where you can manage your membership, save content to come back to later, and control your email preferences.

Finally, I highlight one of the most useful features on the site: the magazine index. It gives you searchable access to decades of Fine Woodworking magazine articles, making it easy to track down specific topics no matter when they were originally published.
