Made You Look: Galbert’s Angle Drilling Jig

YouTube has been tough lately. My feed has been filled with videos of woodworkers asking what happened to woodworking on YouTube. I don’t understand that, and I’m not going to feed it a click. That’s why we need to retrain our algorithm every now and then and watch some videos of actual woodworking. Thankfully, Peter Galbert and Brian Boggs, two woodworkers we all know and love, have been uploading more videos these days.

Both of them are founts of unimpeachable woodworking knowledge, and when they make a video, we should all watch it. This video especially spoke to me as I thumbed through Peter’s page this week. I’ve been known to over-engineer a drilling jig or two, and Peter has been known to explain to me exactly why my jig won’t work. If you check out this drilling jig, its simplicity is its elegance. Leave it to Peter Galbert to distill it down to exactly what it needs to be—nothing more.
