City of Hope will present a panel discussion titled “Designs that Heal” in partnership with Hooker Furnishings during Spring High Point Market. The event takes place Saturday, April 25, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Designer’s Theater on the third floor of Hooker Furnishings’ Showplace showroom.

The panel will examine the intentional design decisions behind City of Hope’s patient spaces, where color palettes, furnishings, and spatial layouts are selected to support comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being. The discussion will also address the broader role interior designers can play in shaping healing environments.

The event will be moderated by Ellie Alexander, Marketing Specialist at Hooker Furnishings. Panelists include:

  • Jessica Duce, Owner and Principal Designer, JDuce Design, and VRD co-founder
  • Kathryn Behmer, Director of Merchandising, Accents and Occasional, Hooker Furnishings
  • Loren Boyko, Director, Corporate Philanthropy, City of Hope
  • Jess Collier, City of Hope patient
  • Donna Moss, HGTV Design Star and former host of Donna Decorates Dallas
