SmallRig has introduced its new Lite Production Cart. This is essentially a more affordable and slightly lighter version of their Video Production Camera Cart that was announced last year.
It weighs 57.3 lb / 26 kg and complies with most airline oversized luggage standards. As a comparison, the Video Production Camera Cart weighs 32kg / 70.5 lb.

The SmallRig 36″ Video Production Camera Cart Lite is a professional-grade mobile workstation designed for filmmakers and content creators who need efficiency, durability, and versatility on set. It was designed to facilitate frequent relocation and quick deployment during shooting.
Engineered with aerospace-grade aluminum and industrial-grade materials, the cart can be assembled or collapsed by a single crew member in around 5 minutes. When fully collapsed, the cart’s foldable design results in a height of just 6.8″.
Featuring a dual-tier platform structure, the top deck provides multiple mounting points for connecting monitors, laptops, wireless transmitters, and power systems, while the bottom deck accommodates bulk equipment.
A modular expansion system enhances workflow flexibility via four cheese plates that include 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded holes, as well as 3/8″-16 ARRI locating holes. Four 5/8″ baby pin mounts are also available. This design allows for seamless integration of monitor arms, audio mounts, sunshade brackets, and more. It could be used for a director’s monitoring station, DIT workstation, editing station, or other professional setups.
