ZGCINE ZG-X222 V-Mount Battery – Newsshooter
The ZGCine ZG-X222 V-Mount Battery is being billed as a high-capacity, 222Wh battery that features a 60,000mAh capacity, a built-in 1.45″ status display, and bidirectional 140W fast charging via USB-C.
With the bi-directional PD3.1 140W lightning fast charging, it is claimed to only take 1.5 hours to charge to 80% and 2 hours to fully charge. I am not sure if you can charge this battery on a regular V-mount charger, with previous ZGCINE nbatteris you couldn’t.
222Wh is a bit of a strange capacity, and you can’t take it on board an aircraft as it is well above the maximum Wh capacity that is allowed.
In what is claimed to be an industry first, the battery features three D-Tap ports. These D-Tap ports can produce a 22V high-voltage output by long-pressing the button, which in turn allows you to power certain lights.
Along with the 3x D-Tap ports, there are 2x USB-C, 1x DC 8V, 1x DC 12V, and BP ports. You could use the battery to power a wide array of products, as well as power additional accessories.
The battery weighs in at 2.95 lbs / 1.33kg, and it has physical dimensions of 130 x 82 x 87 mm.
The X222 comes equipped with a bright digital display that shows real-time port status, voltage, power output, and remaining battery life.
According to ZGCINE, the battery utilizes high-quality LG power battery cells, with a capacity of 15000mAh/222Wh.
As you would expect, there is overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, overcharge protection, overdischarge protection, temperature protection, overpower protection, recovery protection, short circuit protection. ZGCINE also states that the X222 can work in temperatures as low as -20℃.
